Truck and Trailer Driver

Glow the Event Store is expanding and is seeking an experienced driver with varied vehicle experience in a small handful of vehicle types. The successful candidate should have experience with cube trucks, trucks up to 26', smaller flatbed trailers under 23 feet and cube vans. Additionally, be comfortable with loading and offloading machinery as well as towing.

Why does Glow need a tractor operator?

We have invested heavily in our inventory that needs to be dropped off mostly around the HRM area and to assist our team on site. The successful candidate would be driving our specialised tractor from job-site to job-site assisting where necessary with the provided machinery.

· must have at least 5 years of driving experience required

· be able to produce a clean driver abstract. required

· Have experience as a forklift/ tractor operator or related experience (such as farm work with the use of a tractor or Forklift in a warehouse setting) Asset

· Have mechanical experience for minor maintenance issues as they come about (preferred)

· Forklift experience would be considered an asset but not a requirement and certification/training is available through our company

Tractor Specifications:

Our tractor and fork lift combination tractor, also known as a Tent OX is a 4x4 articulated hydrostatic AVANT product from Finland. It is used for the heavier potions of tent construction including spiking, pulling panels and placing center posts. This is a custom modified vehicle specifically for tent installs.

Comparable experience would include:

· Bobcat

· Forklift

In addition, the successful applicant would be responsible for the operation of several sized cube trucks (3/4 to 5 Tonne truck, up to 26 feet long) and should be comfortable driving these vehicles.

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
